Ham Radio

I've been an Amateur Radio (Ham) Operator since 1976 and hold an Extra Class license. I haven't been very active in recent years, but if you should ever hear WA4ZHH on the air, give me a call. I'm good in every Callbook since 1978.

My station looks like a museum. I've got a Kenwood TS-520 with a remote VFO, a 50-foot tower with a CushCraft ATB-34, a Ringo Ranger, and two 11-element 2-meter beams, vertically polarized. I've got inverted vees for the 40 and 80 meter bands.

At one time, I operated HF mobile quite a bit when I was on the road. I've got an Atlas 210X but it's no longer installed in the car.

At the moment, I'm off the air due to a lightning strike.
